World
of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King has given us a host
of new beasts and some "cuties"
by Nik Haywood
World of Warcraft has now launched the “Wrath of the Lich
King”
and with it a host of new beasts. All are new to us, but the
Wendigo is thought to have relations in the mountains of Dun
Morogh. My favourite is without doubt the Tuskarr (It’s a
walrus
in disguise!) and one of the new cuties with horns or tusks.
World of Warcraft have given us ten new beasts in the recently
launched “Wrath of the Lich King”. Living all over
the vast
lands of Northrend they will all give the player new hours of
endless fun trying to kill or escape from them. Like most
players I have my favourites and I don’t know if I need help
but
mine all have either tusks or horns. If you have not yet met
them all let me give you a small insight starting with the
Tuskarr, (yes this is the walruss look alike) but definitely
improved from the real ones. They are kind natured little things
that can be found roaming the south coast of Northrend, and are
tribal creatures and peaceful but constantly under threat from
the Kvaldir and arctic Murloc called gorloc. These fearless
Tuskarr are allies to both Alliance and Horde in the ongoing
struggle against the hostiles in Northrend. The Taunka are
related to the Tauren and as such show allegiance to the Horde
and are said to have big hearts and unbeatable resolve, well
that only works if you are a friend. Now the Shoveltusk is not
going to bother you unless you start it and then watch out
unless you want three or four buffalo look alikes walking all
over you. Oh! And did I mention these rather peaceful beasts
have very big curved antlers and twin tusks coming out of the
jaw. Very nice!! Now my final cutie is the big Wendigo and if
you can’t avoid them (which you can’t) be very
careful when
running into a cave, if you wake it up it can seriously hurt
you. They are ferocious and aggressive in defending their homes
and can soon add you to their pile of chewed bones.
